When outpatient care isn't enough
When a young person needs more support than outpatient care can provide
Residential care may be appropriate when emotional or behavioral symptoms are disrupting safety, daily functioning, school, or family stability and the youth can be safely supported outside an acute hospital or locked setting. DiVnity offers a structured therapeutic environment where youth can step away from immediate triggers, build practical coping skills, and prepare for a safe return to family and community life.
- Is not safe or stable at home or in a less restrictive setting
- Has not responded adequately to outpatient treatment
- Needs 24-hour structure, supervision, and behavioral health support
- Needs intensive skill-building and coordinated treatment
- Would benefit from a calm, predictable environment
- Requires family, school, medication, and aftercare coordination
Not sure whether Behavioral Health Residential Facility care is the right level? Our admissions team can review the situation and explain the next step.

Individualized clinical review
Individualized support for complex emotional and behavioral needs
Youth referred to DiVnity may be experiencing:
Admission depends on a clinical review of safety, medical stability, treatment needs, staffing, rooming compatibility, authorization, and current capacity — a diagnosis alone does not determine placement, and DiVnity does not replace emergency evaluation or acute hospitalization for a youth in crisis.

Whole-person treatment
Treatment that sees the whole young person
No two youth arrive with the same history, strengths, culture, family system, or goals. DiVnity builds an individualized plan around the young person’s clinical needs and developmental stage.

- Individual, group, and family therapy as clinically indicated
- CBT- and DBT-informed coping and emotional-regulation skills
- Psychiatric coordination and medication support
- Case management and care-team communication
- School coordination and homework support
- Life-skills, wellness, recreation, and expressive activities
- Safety planning, relapse prevention, and discharge coordination
